A penalty-kick championship

Love to know some thoughts about deciding outcomes of championship soccer games by penalty kicks.
Not sure there's a lot of athletic skill when it gets to that point in a soccer game. Can't tell you how many times I heard the MLS championship analyst say, "He guessed right" last night.

Well Steve if you have ever played or, as I have Refereed thousands of soccer games you would know that the "kicks from the mark" (they are not penalty kicks as no foul has occurred) are one of the toughest things for both the kicker and the goalie to perfect. The kicker is under enormous pressure and cannot fake or try to lure the goalie out of position, he must once he starts forward continue a one motion to the ball and strike it into the net, as for the goalie he has to try and "guess" were the ball will be kicked based on the tendencies of the kicker, if he guesses wrong he looks the fool, if he guesses correctly, he still has to deal with 100 mph shots that can easily get by him even if he manages to get a glove on it. and unlike American Football there is no other method to settle a match after both teams have played to a draw for 2 overtime periods, the pace of the game is to fast and could cause bodily harm to the players if it is prolonged to much.
This is the biggest challenge the USA has is that they don't know the rules of the game or the subtle nuances, that make soccer the most watched and played sport in the world!
